Breast Reduction Surgery
Large breasts can cause many problems, such as neck, back, shoulder pain, shoulder-grooving, headaches, posture problems, nerve problems, rashes under the breasts, interference with exercise and physical activity and the inability to find proper fitting clothing and problems with self-image.
Women with large breasts are often in chronic pain, have no energy and are sometimes overweight because they are unable to exercise. Even weight loss does not guarantee a solution for large breasted women. Men are also victims of this problem, although less noted, the damage to their self-image can be just as devastating.
In breast reduction surgery, the breast tissue and excess breast skin are removed and your nipples are moved to a higher position on your breasts. This is usually accomplished without the necessity of removing your nipples and then replacing them. The nipples stay attached to the breast and only the surrounding skin is manipulated, so the ability to breast feed is usually retained.
Are you considering breast reduction surgery? If you live in Newport Beach, Orange County, California, please contact Dr. Douglas L. Hendricks of Pacifica Cosmetic Surgery Center today to schedule a consultation and learn more about this procedure. Dr. Hendricks and his staff are ready to answer your questions and any concerns you may have about your particular problem.
